Great quick read on wine temperatures. I agree with everything in this posting, I would add...follow the 'half hour rule'. If you're not using a temp controlled wine unit, pull your whites from the frig about a half hour before you want to serve them and place your reds in the frig for about a half hour before serving!

Most shops will all ready have some wines stacked up and ready to go at many different prices. If you feel over whelmed with the all of the choices...Beaujolais Nouveau makes a perfect pairing!
