Twins opener April 1st? Snowbank seating available

Joe Soucheray is turning to his faith leader to help with matter of nature at Target Field.

So long as he has taken the name of Francis, who, in revisionist history, it seems, has become the patron saint of the environment, all matters pertaining to April 1 might now be addressed to the new pope.

Are they really going to make me sit in the snow to watch the Twins play? No, at least that isn’t the plan.

Police search frozen lake for Kira Trevino

Jeffery Trevino told police his wife, Kira, was missing in late February. Police determined Kira was dead after finding a significant amount of blood in the couple’s St Paul home.

Law enforcement returned to Keller Lake in Maplewood on Tuesday, March 19, as the search for the body of Kira Trevino continues.

Police and volunteer searchers combed the park over the weekend and turned up something of interest, police said. They have not disclosed what that was.

On Tuesday, law enforcement, as well as a cadaver dog, could be seen working on the lake. The dog is from a private organization assisting police, said Sgt. Paul Paulos, St. Paul police spokesman. The Ramsey County sheriff’s office is also helping follow up on leads, Paulos said. Crews have cut ice from the lake’s surface as part of the search, and divers were in the water.

Bipartisan anti-drone bill introduced in the Minnesota House

It is probably too late in this legislative session for the drone bill to go anywhere, but supporters hope it will fuel a larger discussion on the use of drones.

Drone legislation was introduced in the Minnesota House on Monday  to keep drones from being used in Minnesota.

"A law enforcement agency may not use a drone to gather evidence or other information in an investigation," and "a federal agency may not use a drone within the borders of the state of Minnesota," the measure says.
