Paynesville cancels Wednesday classes, investigation of illness reveals no known cause

“An investigation into what caused a number of Paynesville Area Secondary School students to be come ill Monday night and Tuesday at the school revealed no known cause.

“‘It was determined the building was safe and there were no environmental causes for the illnesses experienced on campus,’ read a press release issued by Paynesville superintendent Bob Huot.

“The incident caused the school to be evacuated Tuesday and multiple agencies responded. A St. Cloud hazardous chemical and assessment team swept the building for multiple organic compounds, inorganic compounds and other factors that could have explained the student’s illness, the release said,” via St. Cloud Times.
