Northland News Center news anchor pleads guilty to drunken driving

“KBJR-TV news anchor Kevin Jacobsen pleaded guilty Monday to driving drunk in Duluth in June.

“Jacobsen, 28, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence, both misdemeanors, and one count of the improper use of a car horn, a petty misdemeanor, during a June 16 incident on Superior Street.

“According to police reports, an officer was traveling west on Superior Street near First Avenue East about 8:30 that evening when he saw several passengers in an oncoming vehicle hanging their arms and other items out the windows and loudly screaming. The driver honked his horn for no apparent reason.

“The officer wrote in his report that pedestrians in the area seemed upset by the driver’s ‘disorderly conduct,’ and several of them shouted at him to ‘go get him.’” via Duluth News Tribune.
