The Facts: Every election cycle, the Minnesota GOP raises and spends money on behalf of a slate of candidates running for the Legislature and the U.S. Congress. So far, it appears the organization is focusing on direct mail in support of Republicans who currently hold positions in the Legislature, and has raised $400,000 – nearly $2 million less than the state’s DFL party.

The Message: This flier is specifically aimed at boosting Eagan Rep. Diane Anderson’s record and criticizing her DFL opponent, Sandra Masin. MPR’s PoliGraph found that two of the claims made in the flier are misleading.
